The placement of the condominium building fits into the existing woodland edge and provides optimal views for the residences. The new lodge is aligned to the street and opens on two sides to the woods with views of the river and downtown. A lower parking area for the Elks gives access to the underbuilding parking of the condominium. Vegetated terraces lead to the upper parking area used for drop-off and visitor parking. New native plantings follow the park trail along the west side of the site, buffering a neighbor, and extending the woodland to the south. The intensive green roof of the condominium provides further natural connections to the woodland trees towering 30 feet above the building. |
